We are currently accepting applications for our Board of Directors, to be elected for 2024. Board members must be motivated people with a passion for furthering the mission of the Columbia Falls Area Chamber of Commerce whose mission is to promote local business and support our community.

Board of Directors Roles and Responsibilities

• Serve a two year term.
• Support the mission and objectives of the Chamber
• Attend and actively participate in monthly board meetings
• Review board meeting and committee meeting materials prior to scheduled meeting
• When absent from a meeting, review minutes and results of the missed meeting
• Serve actively on at least one committee (attend meetings and complete assigned work for committee)
• Assist with the strategic plan for the Chamber of Commerce.
• Formulate policies of organization.
• Approve annual Chamber budget
• Visit and help retain current members
• Be actively involved in Chamber events
• Fill out and return the board self-assessment annually
• Be familiar with Roberts Rules of Order
• Conduct myself professionally and respectfully at all times when speaking of the Chamber, its programs, events, the staff, and directors, within and outside of the organization
